Provides patient centered, specialized, evidence based care through an inter-professional approach to treatment, research, education and advocacy. Board-certified providers who assume responsibility and accountability for health stabilization, promotion, and maintenance of acute and chronic wound care. Providers contributes to the goals of the clinic by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care while adhering to the policies, procedures and processes of Innovative Healing Systems.
Evaluates the health condition of patients in providing safe, comprehensive clinical care
Application of evidence based medicine pertinent to patients and their families to improve outcomes
Advances the knowledge of the inter-professional team through leading training and development programs to improve healthcare delivery and patient outcomes
Continuously evaluates the relationships among access, cost, quality, safety and their influence on healthcare outcomes
Provides leadership in the translation of new knowledge and evidence based care into practice
Constant consideration of developmental level of patients when translating health information to support positive health outcomes.
Demonstrates understanding of internal and external practice rules, regulations and legislation to maintain compliance and certification.
Serves as an advocate for the needs of the patients across the health care continuum ensuring the best patient/family experience and to advance health throughout the community we serve.

Possesses working knowledge of outpatient provider services.
Possesses working knowledge of EMR system(s) and possesses a clear understanding of coding and billing of Hyperbaric and Wound Care procedures.
Current State Licensure
Current BLS and/ or ACLS
Degree in Medicine or Osteopathy.
Attended at least one problem wound management course, attaining 12 Category 1, CME, ACGME Credits.
Attended a 40 hour Category 1 CME, ACGME UHMS approved Hyperbaric Medicine course.
