The Hyperbaric Technician is responsible for: • The safe and efficient operation of the hyperbaric chamber and related support systems as well as the safe delivery of hyperbaric oxygen therapy to the hyperbaric patient • Acting as a hyperbaric observer during treatments inside a pressurized hyperbaric chamber • Responsible for ensuring that the hyperbaric observer is alert and attentive to patients • Providing patient education and orientation about hyperbaric oxygen therapy • Checking patient vital signs and updating patient chart • Assist in the start-up and shut down of the facility • Responsible for completing equipment maintenance on time Job Requirements Current license or certification as applicable in state of practice in one of the following areas: • Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) • Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS) • Certified Hyperbaric Wound Specialist (CHWS) • Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRT) • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) • Military Corpsman or Medical Services Specialist |
